Does your vehicle live in a lab? Do you? We didn't think so. So why make claims based on lab results. That’s why we have separated ourselves from industry-specific buzzwords like “ceramic”, “graphene”, “titanium” and “nano”. These coatings primary ingredients are Silica Dioxide(SiO2 or Quartz)/PolySiloxanes/PolySilazanes (as the protection), proprietary resins (as "attachment systems"), and carrier solvents (to provide an easy installation). We have done the lab testing of our Coatings, it suggests durability over twice what we are claiming and hardness levels we know are laughable. When entrusting the protection of your vehicle to Armour Quartz Coatings, you are experiencing only real world claims and durability.

Precautions:

Shake well.

Avoid applying in direct sunlight.

Wear skin protection.

Wear respiratory protection.

Wear eye protection.

Always test in small area before full application to determine flash time.

Applying in colder conditions will lengthen time frame before wipe-off (closer to 3-5 minutes). Applying in hotter conditions will give you a shorter time frame before you wipe-off (closer to 1-2 minutes).

Shelf life of 12 months, use within 30 days of opening.

Prep:

The Prep is the most important step of the process, our coating is great but it can not do the prep work for you!

1. Decontaminate the paint surface using Armour Detail Supply Decon Soap and Iron Remover, followed by removing further embedded contamination with a clay bar or synthetic clay mitt.

2. If swirl marks, or scratches are present, polish the paint to reduce any surface defects and create maximum gloss.

3. Use our Armour Detail Supply Panel Prep to remove any oils/residue left from your polishing step. If you did not polish the surface, repeat this step twice to ensure a clean surface.

You are ready to apply Armour Quartz Coating!

Application:

1. After thorough prep prime the applicator with 3 lines start and each subsequent application will only need a small amount, a little goes a long way. 

2. Apply Armour Coating 1-2 panels at a time. Initially create an "X" pattern on the panel, then box in all edges to allow for even distribution of the coating. Follow through the panel using small overlapping circles (like a wax) making sure to have even, level coverage. Allow the product to “set up” for 1-5 minutes depending on temperature/humidity (generally 2-3 minutes). Look for uniform small sweat beads to appear before removing.

3. In a small circular motion level coating 95%+ on 1st wipe (short nap, pearl weave), the first wipe will have a slight grab to it, but the product should be picked up easily. If the coating begins to smear, it needs additional time to setup. If the product is very hard to remove, it needs less time before removal. Switch to 2nd towel (plush) for final leveling. Check for any streaks, or high spots which can appear as cloudy or dark spots. Repeat this process per panel.

4. Halfway through the vehicle or as the applicator starts to harden, flip the applicator over to a fresh side.

5. Use a fresh side of the towel every other panel. 

Armour Quartz Coating was designed as a single layer coating, however, it can be layered. If you wish to apply multiple layers allow 1-2 hours between layers.

After Care:

Allow product to sit 12 hours at minimum for initial cure. After 4 hours you can apply our Armour Detail Supply AMPLIFY or Ceramic Spray Sealant to protect the coating during its initial cure. After 12 hours the vehicle can be driven and get wet. Do not wash or induce to chemicals for 7 days.

  • During peak and sale periods there may be slight delays in dispatching.
  • Delivery and tracking details will be provided in your confirmation email. We will update your order with tracking information, so you have up-to-date information on your parcel.

Pickup:

  • Place your order online and select the 'pick up' option at checkout.
  • It takes approximately 1-4 hours for your order to be ready for pickup. You will receive an email confirmation once your order is ready.

Free Delivery:

Free Shipping on orders over $150 excluding remote areas and certain weight restrictions apply for free shipping in each state. 

The following qualifies for free shipping:

  • NSW & ACT: Total weight of the order is below 21kg (excluding regional and remote)
  • VIC, QLD, SA, TAS & WA metro: Total weight of the order is below 10kg
  • QLD, WA & TAS regional: Total weight of the order is below 5kg

*If a parcel does not arrive as anticipated, please allow 5-7 working days for Australia Post or couriers to complete process of tracking and locating as in most cases it turns up after 3-7 days of expected delivery. We cannot refund or send another item until this process is completed.

*We don't take responsibility for orders that are lost or stolen once the parcel has been delivered to the correct delivery address.

*Items that are over 21kg may require to pay extra freight costs if in regional or remote areas - we will contact you if this is the case.

Refund Policy

Returns Policy

A few important things to keep in mind when returning a product you purchased online from our website:

  • We only accept unopened and unused product returns within 30 days from when the order is received otherwise it'll be returned at buyers expense.  
  • A restocking fee of 7% applies.
  • You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Original Shipping costs are non-refundable. 
  • Once the return is received, we will inspect the items in the package. Upon RMA approval, we will refund through the original payment method used to place the order.

How do I submit a return request?

To set up a return, please email info@detailingshed.com.au first for approval. You must provide your order number and the items you want to return. After you have contacted us and we review your return request, we will assign you an authorisation number.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund and deduct any restocking fees. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 3 days.

If you are shipping an item over $50, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned items if you have not followed this process.

    Late or missing items (if applicable)

    If an item has not been delivered yet, please allow 7-15 working days after Australia Post or courier has started process of tracking and locating parcel before we can refund or send out another item. We will notify you by email once you have been refunded.

    Packaging and Colour Discrepancies

    Product packaging received may differ from the images displayed online and could be updated or have variations. Slight differences in colour may exist between the images advertised online and the physical product. In some instances, manufacturers may change the original colour of the product. We maintain the discretion to decline refund requests arising from variations in colour of the product and packaging.
