Size: 30ml PRO (5+years) V1
In-stock: Inventory updated

ARMOUR PRO Quartz Coating | 5+ Year Single Layer Ceramic Protection

One bottle. One layer. Five plus years of real protection.

Not lab numbers. Real world sun, salt air, bird bombs and bug guts.

ARMOUR PRO Quartz Coating is the strongest DIY ceramic coating in the ARMOUR range, delivering pro level protection in a sleek, single layer formula. Featuring ARMOUR's exclusive LayerSync Bonding system, the August 2025 reformulation has lifted durability, gloss, and chemical resistance to a new benchmark for user friendly ceramic coatings.

Please read: V1 vs V2

This listing covers the August 2025 V2 reformulation. ARMOUR PRO V2 is a ground up rebuild of the original PRO formula. We may still have limited V1 stock available at a reduced price for customers who want it, but all specifications, application instructions and performance claims on this page refer to the current V2 formula.

If you're unsure which version you're looking at, the V2 bottle carries the updated branding and the included Coating Door Jamb Sticker. V1 does not include the door jamb sticker.

LayerSync Bonding explained

LayerSync is ARMOUR's exclusive dual phase reactive bonding system. It bonds twice during installation:

  • Phase 1. The coating forms a permanent covalent anchor to the surface, locking onto the substrate
  • Phase 2. As you level the product, active molecules link together to create a denser, cross linked structure

The result is a harder, more resilient coating with enhanced longevity, gloss and depth than a standard single phase ceramic.

What changed in the V2 reformulation (August 2025)

  • Ground up reformulation, switching from SiO₂/Quartz base to Silazane base
  • Increased surface slickness
  • Increased abrasion and detergent resistance
  • Increased water contact angle and sliding angle
  • Dual phase bonding creating a denser cross linked matrix
  • Reduced cure time
  • Easier application
  • Longer coating shelf life

What ARMOUR PRO protects against

  • Stains and water spots
  • Bug splatter and bird droppings
  • Tree sap and resin
  • Chemical etching
  • UV induced fading and oxidation
  • Road grime and embedded dirt

Is ARMOUR PRO right for you?

Yes, if you're:

  • A DIY enthusiast doing your own paint correction and wanting professional grade protection
  • A detailer wanting a coating that's forgiving on application but uncompromising on durability
  • Coating a daily driver, weekend toy, or new car you plan to keep for 5+ years
  • Sick of resealing every 6 months and want one job done properly

Maybe not, if you:

  • Want a "spray and wipe" job in 10 minutes (look at ARMOUR AMPLIFY or a spray sealant instead)
  • Haven't prepped the paint (decon, polish, panel wipe). The coating can't fix swirl marks, it locks them in

What's in the box

  • 30ml or 50ml ARMOUR PRO Quartz Coating with dropper top
  • 1 × microfibre coating applicator pad (extras recommended)
  • 1 × Coating Door Jamb Sticker
  • "How To" direction card

Coverage

  • 15ml = 1 small car
  • 30ml = 1 large truck/SUV (or two small cars)
  • 50ml = bigger jobs or shop use

How to apply ARMOUR PRO

Step 1. Prep

Prep matters more than the coating itself.

  1. Decontaminate the paint with ARMOUR Decon Soap and Iron Remover, then clay bar or synthetic clay mitt to lift embedded contamination
  2. If swirl marks or scratches are present, polish the paint to remove defects and create maximum gloss
  3. Use ARMOUR Panel Prep to remove any oils or residue left from polishing. If you didn't polish, repeat the panel prep step twice to ensure a clean surface

Step 2. Apply

  1. Prime the applicator with 3 lines to start. Each subsequent application needs only a small amount
  2. Work one section at a time. Create an "X" pattern on the panel, then box in the edges. Follow through with small overlapping circles (like a wax) for even, level coverage
  3. Allow the product to set up for roughly 30 seconds depending on temperature and humidity. Look for small sweat beads or a light haze to form

Step 3. Wipe in two stages

  1. In a smooth circular motion, level the coating 90%+ on the first wipe using a short nap or pearl weave towel. If the product is hard to remove, it needs less time before removal
  2. Switch to a plush second towel for final levelling, wiping in straight lines
  3. Check each panel for streaks or high spots, which appear as cloudy or dark areas

Step 4. Rotate your applicator and towels

Halfway through the vehicle, or as the applicator starts to cure, flip to a fresh side. Use a fresh side of your removal towels every panel.

Step 5. Cure

Allow 4 hours minimum for initial cure. After 4 hours the vehicle can be driven and get wet. Do not wash or expose to chemicals for 24 hours.

Pro tip: For maximum gloss, slickness and a sacrificial top layer, apply ARMOUR PHOBIC on top of PRO after 1 to 2 hours. PHOBIC takes the abuse from the sun and environment so the PRO coating underneath stays protected. ARMOUR AMPLIFY can also be applied after 4 hours to protect the coating during its initial cure.

Frequently asked questions

How many cars will a 30ml bottle do?

Two small cars, one mid size SUV with product left over, or one large truck/SUV.

Can I layer it?

Yes, but ARMOUR coatings are designed as single layer. If layering, wait 1 to 2 hours between layers.

Can I use it on plastic trim?

Yes. Both ARMOUR and ARMOUR PRO coatings can be used on plastic trim. They provide a sleek darkening effect plus significant UV protection and hydrophobic properties.

Will it work in hot conditions?

Up to ~38°C surface temp. Apply in shade, early morning or evening in summer. Flash time shortens to 15 to 20 seconds in heat. In colder conditions expect 45 to 60 seconds.

Why doesn't ARMOUR call it "graphene" or "nano"?

Because it isn't. The brand refuses to use industry buzzwords for ingredients that aren't there. It's a quartz/silazane coating, and that's what it says on the bottle.

Do I need to polish first?

If the paint has swirls, scratches, or oxidation, yes. The coating amplifies whatever's underneath it. New cars usually need a panel wipe and decon only.

What's the cure time?

4 hours minimum before driving or getting wet. 24 hours before washing or chemical exposure.

Should I top it with PHOBIC?

Highly recommended. PHOBIC adds gloss and slickness, but more importantly acts as a sacrificial top layer that takes environmental abuse so the PRO coating underneath stays protected.

Disclaimer

We at ARMOUR Detail Supply are committed to developing enjoyable, easy to use formulas that provide professional level results. We live by the notion of providing "Car Care Products That Are NOT Over Hyped!" Meaning, we are not in the business of overselling our products, providing outlandish claims, or claims only proven in lab environments. Does your vehicle live in a lab? Do you? We didn't think so. So why make claims based on lab results.

That's why we have separated ourselves from industry specific buzzwords like "ceramic", "graphene", "titanium" and "nano". These coatings' primary ingredients are Silica Dioxide (SiO₂ or Quartz), PolySiloxanes, PolySilazanes (as the protection), proprietary resins (as "attachment systems"), and carrier solvents (to provide an easy installation). Hence why we call our "ceramic" coatings, Quartz Coatings.

We have done the lab testing of our Coatings. It suggests durability over twice what we are claiming, and hardness levels we know are laughable. When entrusting the protection of your vehicle to ARMOUR Quartz Coatings, you are experiencing only real world claims and durability.
