Introducing Panel Prep, a comprehensive and highly effective solution for thorough surface preparation. The unique formulation of isopropyl alcohol, specialized degreasers, and surfactants work together to eliminate any residual compounds and polishing oils that may have been left behind from previous detailing steps, resulting in a completely clean surface that is ready for further treatment. The inclusion of a sophisticated foaming agent not only provides a smooth and effortless application, but also acts as a lubricant to minimize the risk of swirling or any other forms of marring during the preparation process.
As the first and crucial step in any surface protection routine, Panel Prep ensures that the subsequent waxing, sealing, or coating steps will be able to perform at their maximum potential. The ability of Panel Prep to clean and prepare surfaces thoroughly, in combination with its user-friendly formula, makes it an essential tool for both professional detailers and DIY enthusiasts alike.
Whether you are looking for your true finish during polishing or simply ensuring the longevity of your paint's protection, Panel Prep is an indispensable part of your detailing arsenal.
Shake well.
Application:
1. For optimal results, spray Panel Prep evenly onto the desired surface and allow it to dwell for 15-30 seconds to effectively dissolve unwanted oils.
2. Wipe the surface with a short nap towel until it is clear, flipping the towel or using a secondary towel for a final wipe.
3. To avoid overspray, be sure to wipe surrounding areas as well.
4. Repeat as necessary until surface oils or protection have been removed.

Version 1.2 · Last updated: 18 August 2026
| Topic | Summary |
|---|---|
| Change-of-mind returns | Store credit only, within 30 days of delivery, unopened & unused |
| Restocking fee | 10% of item price |
| Return shipping | Paid by the customer |
| Non-returnable | Chemicals/liquids, Ceramic Coatings, and all Kranzle & Big Boi products |
| Faulty / damaged / incorrect items | Report within 10 days: repair, replacement or refund, no fee |
| Order cancellation (before dispatch) | Refund to original payment method, minus 3% transaction fee |
| Missing deliveries | Allow 7–15 business days after carrier investigation begins |
| New Zealand orders (polishers/buffers & pressure washers) | Customer pays return shipping for repair, inspection or warranty claims, even if a fault is confirmed |
Nothing in this policy limits or replaces your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product has a major or minor failure (for example, it's faulty, unsafe, not fit for purpose, or significantly different from how it was described), you're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under the ACL, regardless of the store credit, restocking fee, or timeframe terms below.
The terms in the rest of this policy apply to change-of-mind returns and other situations that aren't covered by a consumer guarantee.
We accept change-of-mind returns for store credit only, on items that are unopened and unused, within 30 days of the delivery date.
Due to safety, hygiene, and quality control, the following are never eligible for change-of-mind return:
Unused, unopened accessories such as brushes, pads, and towels may be eligible, subject to approval from our team. Email us first with your order number and photos before sending anything back.
If you believe a product isn't working properly, contact us first rather than returning it straight away. Here's how we handle it:
If you've told us in advance the specific job you needed a product to do and it can't do that job, let us know. That can still count as a failure under the ACL even if the product otherwise works normally.
For orders shipped to New Zealand, if a polisher/buffer or pressure washer needs to be sent back to us for inspection, repair, or a warranty claim, return shipping is paid by the customer. Given the cost of international freight, we're not able to cover shipping on these two product categories for New Zealand orders, even where a fault is confirmed.
Yes, if you ordered the wrong product, return it under the policy above and place a new order for the correct item.
You can cancel an order any time before it's been processed or shipped. A 3% transaction fee (covering payment processing costs) is deducted from the refund; the remainder goes back to your original payment method.
Once an order has been processed or dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled, but you can still return the items under the Change-of-Mind Returns policy above.
Notify us within 10 days of delivery at info@detailingshed.com.au with your order number and clear photos. We'll arrange a replacement, or a refund if stock isn't available, at no cost to you. If we need the item sent back to us first, we'll cover or reimburse that return shipping too, since the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect rather than a change of mind (this doesn't apply to New Zealand orders for polishers/buffers and pressure washers, per above).
For any return worth over $50, we recommend a trackable shipping service or shipping insurance. We're not responsible for returned items lost in transit.
If your order hasn't arrived, please allow 7–15 business days after Australia Post or the courier begins their investigation. We'll be in touch once it's resolved and any refund or replacement has been processed.
Product packaging or colours may differ from the images on our site due to manufacturer updates. This isn't grounds for a refund unless the product itself is faulty or incorrect.
Discount codes must be applied at checkout and can't be added retroactively to an existing order, and we can't refund the difference after an order is placed. Double-check your code before completing checkout. If it's not working, contact us before you finalise your purchase.

| 1.2 | 18 Aug 2026 | Clarified that for domestic (Australian) faulty, damaged, or incorrect items, Detailing Shed covers or reimburses return shipping (not just the replacement/refund), with the New Zealand polisher/buffer and pressure washer exception carved out. |
