Numatic George GVE370 — Wet, Dry & Extraction Vacuum for Car Detailing.

George is the machine detailers buy when a shop vacuum stops being enough. It's a dry vacuum, a wet vacuum and a carpet and upholstery extractor in one British-built unit, so you can lift dry debris, pull up spills, and deep clean fabric seats and carpets without owning three separate machines.

Extraction Is The Reason To Buy It.

A standard wet/dry vacuum picks up loose dirt and standing water. An extractor does something different: it injects cleaning solution into the fibres under pressure, then immediately vacuums the dirty solution back out. That's how coffee, milk, pet mess and ground-in grime actually come out of a carpet or cloth seat, rather than just getting wet and moved around.

George runs a 240V 29psi pump for that job, with a "tank within a tank" design that keeps clean solution and recovered dirty water completely separate — simple to fill, quick to empty, and no cross-contamination.

Built For Long Sessions.

The 1060W TwinFlo bypass motor delivers 2400mm H₂O of suction and 40 litres per second of airflow. Capacity is 15L dry, 9L wet and 6L extraction, so you're not stopping to empty it every few minutes. With the 10m cable you get a 26.8m cleaning range, which covers a full vehicle and then some without hunting for another power point.

Clean Air While You Work.

The TriTex filtration system and triple-layer HepaFlo dust bags trap fine dust rather than blowing it back into the cabin you've just cleaned. Bags empty cleanly, which matters when you're pulling sand and pet hair out of a family car.

Compact Enough To Be Practical.

At 8.8kg and 370 × 360 × 510mm, George is small enough to lift into a van, carry to a driveway job, or tuck into the corner of a home garage — while still being built on Numatic's commercial Cleantec platform rather than a consumer chassis.

Getting The Best Results

  • Dry vacuum first, always. Extracting over loose grit turns it into mud and pushes it deeper into the fibres.
  • Pre-treat and agitate. Spray your upholstery cleaner, work it in with a carpet brush, give it a minute, then extract. The chemical does the work — the machine removes it.
  • Finish with dry passes. Once you've extracted, run several passes with no solution to pull out as much moisture as possible. Less water left behind means faster drying and no musty smell.
  • Swap the filter before wet work. Change the dry filter for the safety float valve before any wet or extraction job. Running wet on the dry filter will ruin it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this and a normal wet/dry vacuum?
A wet/dry vacuum only removes what's already loose. George sprays cleaning solution into carpet and fabric under pressure and vacuums it straight back out, which is what genuinely lifts staining rather than just wetting it.

Can I use it for dry vacuuming every day?
Yes. It's a full dry vacuum with a 15L capacity and HepaFlo bag filtration. The extraction function is there when you need it, not something you have to use.

Which dust bags does it take?
George GVE370 uses HepaFlo bags, part number 604016 (packs of 10). These are not the same bags as a Henry — check the model before ordering.

Is it suitable for a mobile detailing setup?
Yes. At 8.8kg it's genuinely portable, and the 26.8m cleaning range means you can work a whole vehicle from one power point.

Does it work on more than carpet?
Yes — carpets, cloth seats, floor mats, boot linings and hard floors. It also handles wet spills and general workshop clean-up.
