Just like automotive paint systems which have undergone major changes in technology, automotive leather and vinyl surfaces have also had some considerable improvements in the past decade. Nearly all automotive leather surfaces are treated with special chemicals to provide resistance to scratching and marring and increase durability and protection from weathering. The chemistry of vinyl surfaces has improved dramatically also, to give these surfaces a leather look and feel. The vinyl surfaces are also treated with similar chemicals as those used for automotive leather to increase their durability and optimum protection from weathering. Over a period of months, these protective chemicals are lost from the surface.
Optimum Protectant Plus cleans and replenishes these chemicals while adding UV protection. Most over-the-counter leather and vinyl protectants leave an oily film behind which gives them a glossy look and slick feel. Since these products are not absorbed into the surface, they last only a few days and act as a dust magnet. Optimum Protectant Plus will keep leather supple with a natural satin finish. It helps reduce cracking on leather and vinyl surfaces, as well as reducing scratching and marring. Protectant Plus penetrates and adheres to these surfaces, therefore it does not make them oily or slick and provides lasting protection.

For orders with free shipping, we determine whether to use a courier service or Australia Post based on the address. If you prefer your order to be shipped via Australia Post, please select the "Parcel Post" option at checkout.
Note: We do not ship to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers with free shipping.
If your parcel is returned to us, the following conditions outline when additional shipping costs may apply:
*We will not be held responsible for delays or late delivery of Australia Post or courier services.
*If a parcel does not arrive as anticipated, please allow 5-7 working days for Australia Post or couriers to complete process of tracking and locating as in most cases it turns up after 3-7 days of expected delivery. We cannot refund or send another item until this process is completed.
*We don't take responsibility for orders that are lost or stolen once the parcel has been delivered to the correct delivery address.
*Items that are over 21kg may require to pay extra freight costs if in regional or remote areas - we will contact you if this is the case.

Due to safety and quality control, we do not accept returns on the following items:
Unused and unopened accessories such as brushes, pads, and towels may be eligible for return, pending approval by our customer service team. Email us at info@detailingshed.com.au with your order number and photos of the item(s) to request approval.
Yes, we accept exchanges. If you ordered the incorrect product and need to get something else, send it back under the returns policy and make a separate purchase for the new item.
You may cancel your order if it hasn't yet been processed or shipped. Please note that a 3% transaction fee will be deducted from your refund. The remaining amount will be returned to your original payment method.
Once your order has been processed or dispatched, cancellations are no longer possible. However, you can still return the items in line with our Returns Policy.
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please notify us within 10 days of delivery. Send an email to info@detailingshed.com.au with your order number and clear photos of the issue. We’ll work quickly to arrange a replacement or refund if stock is unavailable.
If you're returning an item valued over $50, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for returned items that are lost in transit.
If an item hasn’t arrived, please allow 7–15 business days after Australia Post or the courier begins their investigation. We’ll notify you once your case is resolved and any refund or replacement is processed.
Please note: Product packaging or colours may vary from online images due to manufacturer updates. Refunds will not be issued for these variations unless the product is faulty or incorrect.
Discount codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be added to an existing order. We are unable to apply discount codes or refund the difference once an order is processed. "Optimum Protectant Plus Interior- Leather, Vinyl and Plastic, your most probably scratching your head in it says leather but it can also do vinyl and plastic products , how I use it is to stop spray drift I spray onto a Rag Company microfibre cloths that I’ve folded into a square, I spray one side of my rag company microfibre cloth with this beautiful product on it and then I wipe it onto a section at a time then I turn over my rag company microfibre and wipe the excess product off it’s not like you’ve got a mirror on your dash as when you wipe the excess off your left with a beautiful I’ve protected dash , seats well everywhere you’ve applied it , it doesn’t attract dust and you don’t have a dust party like some of the cheap interior products that are filled with silicone, after a week it still looks like you’ve just detailed it, I suggest with any of your rag company microfibre cloths treat them well and you will have them in years to come as I always have a bucket full of cold water with the rag company microfibre detergent in it awaiting all of my microfibre cloths to be placed into the bucket, then when I’ve done detailing for the day I wring the clothes out and add more rags company microfibre cloths detergent into the washing machine and never ever use fabric softener as your going to have a mass murder and never place them into the dryer, but back to the Optimum Protectant Plus Leather, vinyl and plastic it’s just not for inside of your car, I use it on mud-flaps and any plastic black trim you may have on your car , it brings them back to life and then you’re car is perfectly turned out, thank you detailing shed for having in stock products that are multifaceted in their use’s congratulations detailing shed ð¤"
