What it is for

Most detailing chemicals are sold as concentrate and most people dilute them by eye. That is how you end up with a shampoo that foams one week and not the next, and an APC that is either too weak to work or strong enough to stain.

A dedicated dosage bottle fixes it. Mix the ratio once in a graduated jug, pour it into this, cap it and label it. Every refill after that is the same strength. The transparent wall means you see what is left without opening it, and the conical base means it does not tip over on a wet bench.

This bottle is not printed with a scale. That is deliberate on a storage and decanting bottle, and it is why we pair it with a measuring jug rather than pretending you can dose accurately off the side of a bottle.

Pre mixing dilutions. Make up a working strength from concentrate before it goes into a sprayer.
Dosing into a bucket. Keep a made up shampoo mix ready so every wash gets the same strength instead of a free pour from the concentrate.
Decanting from drums. Get a manageable quantity out of a 5 or 20 litre container without wrestling it.
Carrying a dose to the job. The cap seals, so a mobile detailer can take exactly what is needed and nothing more.
Holding a made up mix. Capped and labelled, between uses.

Why conical

The body tapers out to a 100 mm base. That is deliberate. A tall straight sided bottle at 290 mm is easy to knock over, and a full one going over on a bench costs you the chemical and the time cleaning it up. The wide base keeps it standing.

Label it and keep it to one product. A dosage bottle that has held three different chemicals is a contamination risk and a safety risk. One bottle, one product, labelled, is the only way to run them. Never decant into an unlabelled container.

Common questions

Does it come with the cap?
Yes. The black polypropylene screw cap is supplied with the bottle, so it seals for storage and transport.
Can I put a spray head on it?
It is a dosage and decanting bottle, not a sprayer body. The neck and the 290 mm height are not matched to the ProSeries spray head and its 190 mm hose. If you want a sprayer, buy the ProSeries sprayer or the head and a ProSeries bottle.
What chemicals can I put in it?
It is designed for soaps and fluids, and the bottle is LDPE. LDPE suits shampoos, rinseless washes, APCs at working strength and similar water based products. It is not a fluorinated bottle, so check solvents and aggressive chemistry against the Pressol resistance table before decanting, and do not store strong solvent in it long term.
Is it graduated?
No. There is no printed scale on this bottle. It is transparent so you can see the level, but it is a storage and decanting bottle, not a measuring vessel. Mix your ratio in a graduated measuring jug, then pour it in here to store and dispense.
How do I clean it between products?
Best practice is one product per bottle, labelled. If you do need to change, rinse with warm water several times, then leave it uncapped to dry fully before refilling. Residue from a previous product will affect the next one.
Why not just use an old drink bottle?
Decanting chemicals into food or drink packaging is one of the most common causes of accidental poisoning in a workshop. Use a purpose made bottle, label it, and keep it away from anything anybody drinks from.

Goes with

Pressol 0.5L measuring jug graduated in ml, for getting the ratio right before it goes in the bottle.
ProSeries Double Action Sprayer for spraying the dilution once it is mixed.
ProSeries label sets so every bottle on the shelf says what is in it.

Specifications are taken from the Pressol data sheet for item 06310. Check chemical compatibility against the Pressol resistance table before decanting, label every container, and never decant chemicals into food or drink packaging. Store out of reach of children.
