Pressol Precision Stainless Steel Spray Nozzle Tip

In-stock: Inventory updated

The adjustable stainless steel nozzle from the Pressol ProSeries spray head, sold on its own. Machined from solid stainless steel with a knurled grip, it turns from a fine 50 degree fan through to a concentrated jet. This is the part that decides your spray pattern, and it is the part that blocks, distorts or wears first. Keep a spare and a tired sprayer becomes a new one in about ten seconds.

Why stainless matters here

The nozzle is the smallest part of a sprayer and it takes the worst of the job. Chemical passes through it at pressure every pull, it gets knocked against panels and wheel barrels, and the thread gets turned hundreds of times while wet.

A moulded plastic tip handles that for a while and then distorts. The pattern goes crooked, the thread strips, and the fan you set stops staying where you put it. A solid machined stainless tip does not deform, does not corrode, and holds the setting.

High precision machining. The orifice is cut rather than moulded, which is what gives an even pattern instead of a heavy side and a light side.
Corrosion and chemical resistant. Stainless steel handles the degreasers, brake cleaners and APCs that eat a plastic tip.
Knurled for grip. You can change pattern mid job with wet, gloved hands without stopping to dry off.

When to replace the nozzle

Replace it when

  • The fan is lopsided or splits into streams
  • It will not hold the pattern you set
  • Dried product has blocked the orifice
  • The thread feels loose or crossed
  • The tip has been dropped or crushed
  • Output has dropped but the pump is fine

Try this first

  • Soak the tip in warm water
  • Flush the head with clean water under pressure
  • Check the suction hose is not kinked or blocked
  • Make sure the bottle is not simply empty
  • Confirm the pump is still priming
  • Rule out a worn seal in the head itself

If the pump still pulls strongly and only the pattern is wrong, the nozzle is almost always the fault. If the trigger has gone soft or it will not prime, the problem is in the head and you want the complete head assembly instead.

Common questions

Does my sprayer already have this nozzle?
If you bought the Pressol ProSeries Double Action Sprayer, yes. The stainless nozzle is fitted as standard. This listing is for a replacement or a spare, or to upgrade an older head that came with a plastic tip.
How do I change it?
Unscrew the old tip off the end of the spray head by hand and screw the new one on. No tools and no parts to lose. Flush the head through with clean water before you fit the new tip so you are not pushing old residue into it.
My nozzle is blocked. Do I need a new one?
Try soaking it in warm water first, then flush the head with clean water under pressure. Most blockages are dried product and they clear. If the pattern is still uneven after that, the orifice has been damaged and the tip needs replacing.
Nozzle or complete head, which do I need?
If the pump still pulls strongly and only the pattern is wrong, buy the nozzle. If the trigger has gone soft, it drips, it spits air or it will not prime, the wear is inside the head and you want the complete head assembly, which includes a new nozzle anyway.
Will it fit a different brand of sprayer?
It is made for the Pressol ProSeries head and we cannot confirm the thread on other brands. Ask us before ordering if you want to try it on something else and we will tell you what we know.
How do I set the pattern?
Turn the knurled collar. One way gives a fine 50 degree fan for panels, the other tightens it to a conical jet for reaching into shuts, arches and wheel barrels. Set it before you start rather than mid panel.
