The Westinghouse iGen10000PRO is the only model in the range we rate for two machines. 8,200 running watts and 34.2 amps continuous is enough spare capacity to absorb a compressor cutting in while a pressure washer is already running, which is the moment that trips a smaller generator. You get two standard 15 amp outlets using the adaptor supplied in the box, the same RCD safety switch as the rest of the PRO range, and a 30 litre tank that runs up to 19.8 hours at quarter load.
In Australia a machine is either a 10 amp or a 15 amp machine. A 15 amp Kranzle plus a 10 amp compressor needs 25 amps of supply. That is the iGen7500PRO's entire rating, and only three quarters of this one.
Induction motors draw a large surge for the moment they start. The accepted sizing rule is two and a half times the motor's rating, or three times for a compressor that starts against tank pressure. A total stop pressure washer restarts every single time you pull the trigger, and a compressor cuts in on its own pressure switch whenever tank pressure drops. So the surge is not a one off at the start of the day, it is happening constantly, and it lands on a generator that is already carrying the other machine.
That is what the extra capacity is for. With a 15 amp and a 10 amp machine connected, this generator still has 9.2 amps in hand, and with two 10 amp machines it has 14.2. A motor starting on top of the other one running is absorbed rather than tripping the unit. On the two smaller models the same pair leaves nothing, which is why we rate those for one machine at a time.
Australian machines are either 10 amp or 15 amp. Where two machines are listed together, they use one 15 amp outlet each.
| Combination | Supply it needs | On the iGen10000PRO |
|---|---|---|
| Kranzle KHD10/122 TST alone | 15 amp | Barely loads the engine |
| 15 amp Kranzle plus Chicago Pneumatic CPRC 2.5-50 | 25 A | Runs together, 9.2 A in hand for surge |
| 15 amp Kranzle plus Chicago Pneumatic Whisper 2-50 | 25 A | Runs together, 9.2 A in hand for surge |
| 15 amp Kranzle plus BigBoi BlowR PRO+ MKII | 25 A | Runs together, 9.2 A in hand for surge |
| BigBoi WashR Tradie or WashR Flo plus a compressor | 20 A | Two 10 amp machines, 14.2 A in hand |
| Kranzle KHD7/122TS plus a compressor | 20 A | Two 10 amp machines, 14.2 A in hand |
| Kranzle K1152TST plus a compressor | 25 A | Runs together, 9.2 A in hand for surge |
| Compressor alone, running continuously | 10 amp | Uses under a third of capacity |
| Lights, chargers and small equipment alongside a machine | Small non-motor loads | Fine, keep each outlet under 15 A |
| A third motor load on top of two machines | Over 30 A of supply | Ask us first. Two outlets, and surge headroom starts to disappear |
| Charging 12V equipment | 12V DC, 8 A, 100 W | Separate DC outlet, does not use the 240V capacity |
The 32 to 15 amp adaptor comes in the box, so the 32 amp socket becomes a standard 15 amp outlet. Plug the pressure washer into one, the compressor into the other. Both machines use ordinary plugs, and because a 10 amp plug fits a 15 amp socket, a 10 amp compressor or blower goes straight in without an adaptor. No special leads, no distribution board, no electrician. Both outlets sit behind the same RCD safety switch.
Before you order: Petrol generators must be run outdoors in open air. Never run one inside a van, trailer, garage or any enclosed space, and keep the exhaust away from open doors and windows. Carbon monoxide is odourless.
This generator is designed for standalone plug and socket connection to portable equipment. Any connection to a building's fixed wiring must be done by a licensed electrician with the correct changeover equipment.
At 109 kg wet, check your vehicle's payload and how the generator will be restrained before you fit it into a van.

Yes. That is exactly what this model is for. Starting a 1.86 kW compressor while a 1.8 kW washer is already running calls for about 6,450 watts at that instant, on the standard two and a half times rule. This generator supplies 10,000 starting watts, so there is roughly 3,550 watts spare. Plug one machine into each 15 amp outlet.
A 15 amp machine and a 10 amp machine need 25 amps of supply, which is the iGen7500PRO's entire rating. Starting one while the other runs calls for about 6,450 watts against its 7,500, leaving roughly a thousand watts and no spare socket capacity. A compressor cutting in while a pressure washer is running is a large momentary load, and it happens constantly through a working day, so we rate the iGen7500PRO for one machine at a time.
Yes. In Australia a 10 amp plug fits a 15 amp socket, because the 15 amp socket has a larger earth pin opening. A 10 amp compressor or blower plugs straight in with no adaptor. The reverse is not true, which is why a 15 amp machine cannot be plugged into a 10 amp point.
No. The 32 to 15 amp adaptor is supplied in the box, so both outlets take ordinary 15 amp plugs. Nothing extra to buy and no electrician required.
58 dB(A) at quarter load against 57 dB(A) for the two smaller units, measured at 7 metres. The 457 cc engine runs to a maximum of 3,600 rpm, the lowest in the range, and inverter control lets engine speed follow the load instead of holding a fixed speed.
A conventional fixed speed generator holds its engine at a set speed regardless of load. This one varies engine speed with demand, which is where the lower fuel use, lower noise and long quarter load run time come from, and it produces pure sine wave output rather than relying on an AVR to regulate a fixed speed alternator.
It powers the electric start and the remote control. This model uses a lithium-ion battery rather than the maintenance free lead acid battery in the two smaller units. A plug-in charger is supplied to keep it topped up between jobs.
The generator is 767 x 630 x 675 mm and weighs 85 kg dry, 109 kg with oil and fuel. It has wheels and a foldable handle. Check your payload and plan how it will be restrained. It is not designed to be lifted in and out each day.
Up to 19.8 hours at quarter load, or 7.3 hours at full load, from the 30 litre tank. Running a washer and a compressor together sits between those points, so a full day without refuelling is realistic.
Yes. Press the test button on the RCD before each job and confirm it trips. That takes a few seconds and is the only way to know the protection is working. All PRO models have the RCD fitted from the factory.
Equipment suitability above is general guidance based on the manufacturer's published supply requirements for each machine, not a performance guarantee. Actual results depend on your equipment, lead length and condition, ambient temperature, altitude and how continuously you run the load.
