The Pressol ProSeries is a double action sprayer developed with Obsessed Garage for detailing chemicals. Every pull of the trigger fires twice, so you get a continuous fan instead of a pulse, and 1.4 ml goes out per full stroke. The bottle is fluorinated, the seals are FKM, the suction hose draws from any angle and the nozzle is solid stainless steel machined in Germany. Available in 500ml and 750ml.

What double action actually means

A normal trigger sprayer pumps on the squeeze and does nothing on the release. You get a pulse, a gap, a pulse. On a panel that means uneven coverage and a lot of pulls.

A double action sprayer pumps in both directions. One squeeze fires two sprays, so the output is continuous while the trigger is moving. Fewer pulls for the same coverage, and the fan stays even across the panel instead of stuttering.

The second thing it buys you is control. A full pull puts out 1.4 ml. A part pull puts out less. Once you have the feel of it you can lay down a light mist for a quick detailer or a heavy wet coat for an APC, out of the same bottle, without changing the nozzle.

500 ml or 750 ml

500 ml

Shorter and lighter

  • 285 mm tall, 90 mm base
  • 140 g empty
  • Fits a cart caddy and a door pocket
  • Better for interiors and detail work
  • Less weight in the hand over a long day
Most popular

750 ml

Fewer refills

  • 315 mm tall, 97 mm base
  • 160 g empty
  • 50 percent more chemical per fill
  • Better for exterior and wheels
  • Matches the 750 ml ProSeries label set

Both use the same spray head, the same stainless nozzle and the same 190 mm suction hose, so the spray pattern and the output per pull are identical. The only difference is how much it holds and how tall it stands.

Why it costs more than a supermarket spray bottle

Four things, and all of them are the reason cheap bottles fail.

The bottle is fluorinated. Fluorine is bonded onto the plastic surface, which stops solvents permeating the wall. A cheap bottle lets chemical sweat through, goes soft and starts to panel under vacuum. This one holds its shape and the labels stick to it properly.
The seals are FKM. Fluoroelastomer, not the nitrile or EPDM in a generic head. That is the part that swells, hardens and leaks when it meets solvent, and it is why most bottles die in weeks on a degreaser.
The nozzle is solid stainless steel. Machined in Germany and knurled so you can adjust the pattern with wet gloves. A plastic nozzle distorts, the thread strips and the pattern goes crooked. This one does not.
The internals are stainless. The pressure spring, the ball and the adjusting nut are all stainless steel. Those are the three parts that corrode first in a chemical bottle.

Spray bottles are the cheapest thing in a detailing kit and the thing that fails most. If you are replacing them every few months, the arithmetic goes the other way quickly.

It sprays upside down

The suction hose is flexible and weighted, so the pickup follows the liquid instead of pointing at a fixed spot. You can hold the bottle anywhere between upright and fully inverted and it keeps drawing. The spray head is also freely positionable, so you can aim it independently of how you are holding the bottle.

That matters more than it sounds. Door shuts, under sills, inside wheel arches, the underside of a bonnet, roof lining. Those are the spots where a conventional bottle starts spitting air.

Chemical compatibility

Pressol tested the ProSeries against a published resistance table. It handles the great majority of detailing chemistry, including brake cleaners, glass cleaners, degreasers and APCs.

Cosmetic staining. High pH products can discolour the bottle over time. P&S Brake Buster, Shine Supply Wise Guy and Angelwax Vision are the ones we see most. This is cosmetic only. The bottle, seals and nozzle are unaffected and the sprayer keeps working.

Bilt Hamber Trace-Less. Do not use this bottle with Trace-Less. A separate Trace-Less compatible version of the sprayer is coming and will be listed here when it lands. Register your interest and we will tell you when it arrives.

Getting the best out of it

Set the pattern first Turn the knurled stainless nozzle to go from a 50 degree fan to a full jet. Fan for panels, jet for reaching into shuts and arches.Set it before you start, not mid panel.
Prime it A few pulls on a fresh fill clears the air out of the hose and the pump.
Use part pulls Full pull for a wet coat, half pull for a light mist. Same bottle, two application rates.
Label it One chemical per bottle. Cross contamination ruins both the chemical and your result. The ProSeries label sets are made for these bottles.
Flush aggressive chemistry Rinse the head with warm water after a strong degreaser or brake cleaner. Pull the trigger until clean water comes through.
Do not store it loaded If a bottle is going in the cupboard for months, empty it and flush it first.
Keep it in range Rated for use between 5 and 30 degrees C. A bottle left in a hot car all summer is outside what it was designed for.

Trace-Less version coming soon. A separate version of this sprayer, built to handle Bilt Hamber Trace-Less, is on the way. It will be listed as its own product. Use the bottle on this page for everything else, and get in touch if you want to be told the day the Trace-Less version lands.

Common questions

What does double action mean on a spray bottle?
The pump works on both the squeeze and the release, so one pull of the trigger fires two sprays. The output is continuous while the trigger moves instead of pulsing. You get even coverage and fewer pulls per panel, which is what saves your hand over a full day.
How much does it spray per pull?
Up to 1.4 ml on a full stroke. A part pull puts out proportionally less, so you can switch between a light mist and a wet coat without changing anything on the bottle.
Will it really spray upside down?
Yes. The suction hose is flexible and weighted, so it follows the liquid rather than pointing at one spot. It draws anywhere between upright and fully inverted, which is what you need for door shuts, arches and the underside of a bonnet.
Which size should I get?
The 750 ml if you are spraying exteriors, wheels or anything that uses volume, because it is fewer refills. The 500 ml if it lives on a detailing cart or you are working interiors, because it is shorter and lighter in the hand. The spray head and output are identical.
Why is my bottle changing colour?
High pH chemicals stain the plastic. P&S Brake Buster, Shine Supply Wise Guy and Angelwax Vision are the usual ones. It is cosmetic only. The bottle has not been weakened and the sprayer will keep working normally.
Can I use Bilt Hamber Trace-Less in it?
Not in this bottle. A separate Trace-Less compatible version of the sprayer is coming and will be listed as its own product. If Trace-Less is what you want to spray, wait for that one or contact us to be notified when it arrives.
What chemicals is it safe with?
Pressol publishes a resistance table and the sprayer covers the great majority of detailing chemistry: APCs, glass cleaners, interior cleaners, quick detailers, degreasers and most wheel cleaners. The things to check before decanting are strong primers, nitro thinners and strongly acidic wheel cleaners. If you are unsure about a specific product, ask us.
Why not just use a cheap spray bottle?
The four parts that fail on a cheap bottle are the seal, the nozzle, the spring and the bottle wall. This one uses FKM seals, a machined stainless nozzle, stainless internals and a fluorinated bottle that will not let chemical permeate or panel. If you are replacing cheap bottles every few months, this works out cheaper and it sprays better in the meantime.
Can I buy replacement heads or nozzles?
The spray head is Pressol part 82 431 103 and the stainless nozzle is 82 425 878. Contact us for availability and we will tell you what we are holding.
Where is it made?
Pressol is a German manufacturer and the sprayer is made in the Czech Republic. The stainless steel precision nozzle is machined in Germany.
How do I clean it between chemicals?
Best practice is one chemical per bottle, labelled. If you do need to change, empty it, part fill with warm water and pull the trigger until clean water sprays through, then repeat. Flush after any strong degreaser or brake cleaner rather than leaving it sitting in the head.

What to pair it with

ProSeries label sets, front and back sized for the 750 ml bottle. One chemical per bottle, labelled, is the whole system.
Pressol Industrial Double Action Sprayer the red and black industrial version of the same pump.
Pressol Household Double Action Sprayer the lighter duty option for water based products.
Pressol 0.5L measuring jug for diluting concentrates accurately before they go in the bottle.
Obsessed Garage household labels for the household sprayers.

Technical specifications are taken from the Pressol data sheet for the Industrial Sprayer 2024.0 in 500 ml and 750 ml, item numbers 06212 523 and 06213 523, together with Obsessed Garage published ProSeries information. Chemical compatibility guidance is general. Always check the Pressol resistance table and the chemical manufacturer's own advice before decanting, and test with a small quantity first. Discolouration from high pH products is cosmetic and is not covered as a fault.

Not sure whether a chemical you use is safe in this bottle? Tell us what you want to decant and we will check the resistance table for you.

The Ultimate Spray Bottles for Your Chemicals

"Honestly, these OG Pressol Pro bottles are a total game-changer. They’re built incredibly well, you can tell they actually put some real thought into the design. Most chemical bottles eventually leak or the tips get clogged up, but these feel like they're made to go the distance. The stainless steel tip is a first for me on a detailing bottle, and that dual-action sprayer is just awesome. Definitely worth the upgrade!"
