Pressol Industrial Sprayer Replacement Spray Tip

In-stock: Inventory updated

The replacement spray tip for the Pressol Industrial Double Action Sprayer. The tip is the part that blocks, wears and gets knocked about, and it is the part that decides your spray pattern. When the fan goes lopsided or the output drops while the pump still feels strong, this is the fix. A new tip costs a fraction of a new bottle and takes ten seconds to fit.

Tip only, read this first

This listing is the spray tip on its own. It is not the spray head, it is not the suction hose and it is not a bottle. If the pump has gone soft, drips, spits air or will not prime, the wear is inside the head and a new tip will not fix it.

A new tip fixes

  • A lopsided or split spray pattern
  • A tip that will not hold the pattern you set
  • An orifice blocked with dried product
  • A crossed or loose thread on the tip
  • A tip that has been dropped or crushed
  • Reduced output with a pump that still pulls hard

A new tip will not fix

  • A soft or stiff trigger
  • Dripping or weeping from the pump body
  • Spitting air with liquid in the bottle
  • A pump that will not prime after a refill
  • A kinked, split or blocked suction hose
  • A cracked or panelled bottle

Try this before you replace it

1. Soak the tip. Unscrew it and leave it in warm water. Most blockages are dried product and they come out.
2. Flush the head. Part fill the bottle with clean warm water and pull the trigger until clear water sprays through.
3. Check the hose. Pull the head out and look at the dip tube. A kink or a split at the top is a common cause of weak output and it looks like a tip problem.
4. Check the bottle is not just empty. Obvious, but it is the first thing to rule out.
5. Still uneven? The orifice is damaged. Fit a new tip.

Setting the pattern

Turn the tip to change the spray. Open it out for a 50 degree fan across a panel, or tighten it down to a concentrated jet for reaching into door shuts, wheel arches and engine bays. Set it before you start rather than halfway through a panel.

At the fan setting the sprayer reaches about 600 mm, which is normal working distance. On a full jet it will throw up to 4.5 metres, which is what you want for getting into a wheel barrel or under a sill without climbing around the car.

Chemical guidance

Same limits as the sprayer. The Industrial Double Action Sprayer is rated for higher alkaline products, but it is not suitable for solvents, solvent containing liquids or alcohol products. Fitting a new tip does not change that. If you need to spray solvents, you want the ProSeries sprayer with its FKM seals and fluorinated bottle, not the Industrial.

Flush after every use. Clean water through the head and the tip is what keeps a tip working. Dried product in the orifice is the number one reason tips get thrown away while still perfectly good.

Common questions

What exactly do I get?
The spray tip only. No head, no suction hose and no bottle. It screws onto the end of the spray head on your existing Industrial sprayer.
How do I fit it?
Unscrew the old tip off the end of the spray head by hand and screw the new one on. No tools. Flush the head through with clean water first so you are not pushing old residue into a new tip.
Will it fit the ProSeries or Household sprayer?
This tip is listed for the Industrial Double Action Sprayer. The ProSeries uses its own stainless steel precision nozzle, which we list separately. If you want to fit this to anything else, ask us first and we will tell you what we know rather than guess.
My spray is weak. Is the tip the problem?
Only if the pump still feels strong. Pull the head out and check the dip tube for a kink or a split, and flush the head with clean water. If the trigger has gone soft or it will not prime, the wear is inside the head and a tip will not help.
Why not just buy a new sprayer?
Because the bottle and the pump usually have plenty of life left. A tip is the cheapest part of the sprayer and the one that fails first. Keeping a spare on the shelf means a blocked tip costs you ten seconds instead of a trip to reorder.
How do I stop tips blocking?
Flush the system with clean water after use, every time. Do not leave product sitting in the head between jobs, and keep one chemical per bottle so you are never mixing residues.
